TWD: Cardamom Crumb Cake

I've been very busy these few weeks, as I have relatives visiting from Singapore and also have to attend a new class that started around the same time. So my days are spent running around town and by the time I reach home at night, I'm too tired to do anything else, let alone bake or cook.

Over the past weekend, I tried to squeeze in some time to bake 1/4 portion of cardamom crumb cake, which is a recipe chosen by Jill of Jill's blog for TWD this week. But I managed to screw it up by over-baking it, which resulted in an overly dry cake. I finished half of the cake (and the other half ended up in the trash can) and love the flavour combo-cardamom, orange and coffee! So I will definitely give the recipe a try again soon.

Hop over to Jill's blog if you want to give the recipe a try!

I almost overbaked mine as well. I had to add a foil tent because the center would never bake up. Yours looks lovely, though - love the dish! :)
I love that cake! Perfect for Christmas.

Cheers,

Rosa

I haven't try cardamom in my cake before. That must be a unique taste. Thanks for sharing and Happy Christmas to you!
