Back from Holidays! Part I
Hubby and I went for a fantastic holidays in Paris last week. Paris is so beautiful! Even though I just came back from there, I know for sure that I'll go to Paris again in the future!
Before the trip, we planned to travel around the city by open-top buses, taking the Seine River cruise, and even joining some walking tours. In the end, we did not follow our plans at all, we ended up doing all the sight-seeing ourselves, by taking Metro and most of the time, we walked! At the end of each day, we were so tired that we slept before 8pm, yes... right after dinner. But it's worth it, we managed to see lots of interesting sights and of course, we ate a lot too, especially pastries! I did not take much photos on food though, I enjoyed the food so much that I always forgot to take pictures... ;-)
These are some of the photos from Paris!
View from our hotel room
A park in Ile de la Cité
Yummy!
Eiffel Tower
The Louvre
Versailles
How can I not visit the E. Dehillerin when I'm in Paris? It's a shopping heaven for cooking fanatics with its rows and rows of cooking utensils! In fact, I went there twice. I was there on Monday at 1pm, unfortunately, the shop closes during lunch time. I was disappointed and thought that I won't be able to go there again. But I managed to drop by the same area again on Thursday, and bought a mezzaluna and six tartlet molds with removable base. :-)
Abbesses Metro Station
Walking up the staircase to Basilique du Sacré Coeur
View from Basilique du Sacré Coeur. Can you see two men walking on the roof?
Wow, I just realised that I've spent a few hours downloading photos and writing up this post. Have to go to bed now, will post about my one-day trip to Brugge, Belgium tomorrow.
