TWD: The Most Extraordinary French Lemon Cream Tart

The theme for TWD this week is a particular lemon tart that is aptly named as The Most Extraordinary French Lemon Cream Tart. It's extraordinary indeed, the lemon cream is smooth and luscious, richer than lemon curd and it tastes wonderful when served with fruits!

I've halved the recipe and made it into 6 pieces of 3-inch tartlets. Making the lemon tart is not difficult at all, just need lots of patience when preparing the lemon cream. The recipe mentioned that it will take as long as 10 minutes to get the desired texture, but it took me close to half an hour of constant whisking to achieve the result I want. The effort is worth it though, I had a great time enjoying the tarts served with a few slices of kiwi on top!

Recipe can be found in Mary's blog, who has chosen this marvelous recipe for all to try out this week.

Beautiful presentation! Great idea with the kiwi, I'd have never thought of that combination! But, I guess that's the fun part about this group, seeing what everyone else comes up with!

Love your presentation - beautiful photograph!
Topping it with kiwi was genius!
Looks great with the kiwi. I can tell your whisking paid off since lemon cream piped into the shell looks fabulous!
