Back from Holidays! Part II

I read some positive reviews in an online travelling forum about day tours to Brugge and I found out that it is a well-preserved medieval town in Belgium. So I planned for a trip there in the middle of my Paris trip and I booked a day tour through internet before I left Singapore.

It was a 4-hour drive away from Paris. As soon as we arrived in Brugge, the tour guide brought us on a walking tour, while briefing us about the history of this quaint little town at the same time. The scenary of this charming little town was breath-taking. I stopped and took pictures so often that I always found myself lagging behind the group, and had to run after them all the time. ;-) Besides walking, we also took a river cruise, which I thought was a very "touristy" activity, but it was nice and quite enjoyable nevertheless.

After lunch, we were free to roam around the town on our own. By then, the town was already full of tourists, in fact, the number of tourists outnumbered the locals at least 2.5:1, which was not surprising as we were told that the main source of income for Brugge residents is tourism. There are lots of shops selling souvenirs, clothing (with labels that are also familiar to Singaporeans like Zara, Mango, Esprit etc), and of course, Belgium chocolate!

Here are some pictures from Brugge below:

I chanced upon Dille & Kamille, a shop selling household items and I almost went berserk. I bought a lot of spoons and forks, among other things, and I'm now wondering when will I ever use them. :-P

How could I resist such cute-looking chocolates?!
