TWD: Real Butterscotch Pudding

Donna from Spatulas, Corkscrews & Suitcases has chosen real butterscotch pudding for TWD this week. This is another recipe that I will not attempt if I didn't join TWD, but I'm glad I gave it a try, because the pudding was simply delicious!

I made 1/3 of the recipe and I managed to get only 1 pudding with a 3-inch diameter ramekin. Scotch whisky is something that I do not have on hand and since it's impossible to get liquor in SA, I have to omit it from my pudding completely.

The pudding was chilled overnight in the fridge and then I had it as my post-lunch dessert with a dollop of whipped cream and some buttered pecans. The pudding was smooth and silky, and the slightly salty pecans paired well with the caramel flavour from the custard too.

If you want to make your own butterscotch pudding, head over to Donna's blog for recipe!

Hi all, Thanks for your comments! :-)

Hi Zurin, I bought the napkin from Japan and I like it a lot too. Staying in SA has been interesting so far. Even as a non muslim, I still have to wear abaya (the black dress) when I go out. :-)
