TWD: Swedish Visiting Cake

For TWD this week, Nancy of The Dogs Eat the Crumbs has chosen Swedish visiting cake, which is a recipe that I've been wanting to try out for ages! You might be wondering why I didn't bake the cake earlier. Well, with only two persons at home, and the other party (i.e. my hubby) being a non-cake eater, I can't bake very often unless I want my waistline to expand further. So I chose to wait for the recipe to appear in the monthly baking list of TWD. It's well worth the wait, I must say! Quick and easy to prepare, the almond cake is lemony and certainly very yummy!

If you want to give the recipe a try, head over to Nancy's blog!

My hubby has a hollow leg where he hides his consumed cakes and bread.
I resent him.
Love that little pan you baked in! It looks so inviting.
I really enjoyed this cake too! It is fun to scroll through your posts and see many of the same recipes there that I have done. Baking with other bloggers is lots of fun!

Thank you for stopping by my place and leaving your comment! So nice to meet you!

Kindly, ldh

Your little cake is so pretty! All I can say is that with a cake this good, your husband's loss is definitely your gain (I hope not only at your waistline!) I waited to bake this one for the same reason - they all come around sooner or later. Thanks for baking along with me this week.

This could be a perfect cake for an afternoon tea. I tried a similar recipe from Nigella Lawson and it's really good. You've a nicely baked almond cake here!
