TWD: Savory Corn and Pepper Muffins

I'm now blogging this post from Dubai airport, while waiting for my flight back to Singapore. The internet connection is extremely slow and so I shall keep this post short.

Rebecca of Ezra Pound Cake has picked savory corn and pepper muffins for TWD this week. I doubled the recipe because I want to use up the can of corn, and I got about 20 muffins. I kept two muffins for myself and my hubby brought the rest to his office. To my surprise, his colleauges didn't like them, and they thought that the muffins tasted odd. I quite like the muffins though, because it has the ingredients that I like - corn, chilli and cilantro. They also smelled great when they're fresh out of the oven!

Head over to Rebecca's blog for recipe!

That's too bad about your husband's colleagues not liking the muffins. Maybe it's the cilantro? In any case they look great! :)

Kudos for suffering through slow internet in the interest of TWD :) Those look amazing, and I'm of your opinion rather than the cw's - these were wonderful.

Your muffins are so pretty and I'm glad you liked them but too bad you didn't get to enjoy more of them. I'm sure it's hard with your travel schedule. Did you finish the rest of the Jan. recipes? I did because I have a busy month. I'll be looking forward to your posts.

I wonder too if these muffins are just meant to be paired with something. On their own, I think they would be a bit strange. Hope your travels are going well!
Well, they were WRONG...these muffins were delicious!

Nice job! Hope you had a safe flight!
