SHF - Citrus

When I found out that citrus is the theme of Sugar High Friday for this month, I got very excited! I'm dying to try out a few recipes that I have with citrus as one of the ingredients.

I'd decided to bake Lemon Cake with Orange Syrup, a recipe from Donna Hay's Modern Classic 2. The cake turned out to be soft and the lemon blend well with orange syrup. Perfect for afternoon tea.

This is the recipe of Lemon Cake with Orange syrup:

Hey, nice food! I notice you have beautiful plates and stuff, ya? Unlike mine, all plastic plates. *embarassed* Must follow your footstep to buy cutleries for the sake of buying. Thanks for the link. Will add on mine when I tweak the buttons.

Hi Shirley! Well, I was looking high and low for poppy seed and one fine day, I found out that it's actually banned in S'pore. I got the poppy seed through my hubby's colleague who came from NZ. ;-)

Hi 5xmom! Thanks for your compliment, you make my day. :-)

Hi,
Would like to try your recipe. Saw eggs mentioned in your "Instructions" but not listed in your "Ingredients". So how many eggs to add?
Thanks!
